Sunny Welcome!

The Sunny 57 Ranch is nestled in the beautiful Keating Valley in eastern Oregon. Home to several small family ranches, the Keating Valley is lush and bathed by the beautiful Powder River.

What We Do

We raise 100% grass fed and grass finished black and red Angus using regenerative practices such as holistic management, and low stress animal handling.

We firmly believe that a combination of these two techniques produces high quality beef, as well as enriching the environment and protecting local ecosystems.

Purchasing Our Beef

We harvest our beef in the fall when the livestock is at its healthiest point. We sell our beef in whole, halves and quarters. It is processed here on our ranch which allows the cattle to be relaxed and causes them little stress.

We use our local butcher Baker Custom Meats in Baker City who will cut and wrap your beef to your specifications.

You can expect a 20%-30% shrink between your hanging weight and the final amount you take home. This will vary based on how you have your beef cut. Average weight for a whole is 330-380 lbs. Additionally, you need to pay a cut and wrap fee that goes directly to our butcher.

Getting Your Beef After Purchase

Local pickup is available from the local butcher and/or the ranch. Unfortunately, we are small producers and we do not deliver. However, we love guests!

Our paying customers are invited to the ranch to spend the night free of charge in our guest house, once proper arrangements have been made.

You can make it a road trip, spend the night at the ranch in comfortable accommodations, meet the ranchers, and see the operation.
